As a songwriter, Michael went under the name of Michael Chizell and has worked with many staff writers of major publishing companies penning, writing and co-writing over 100 songs. Big Beat/Atlantic recording artist Jomanda recorded one of Michael's ballads "After All this Love" in 1995 on their album Nubia Soul.  

Michael has written two television treatments "The Guiding Force", an inspirational interview show, and "Spin Cycle", a profile and performance show, the latter co-created with a partner has been produced as a 3 TV show pilot. Michael served as co-executive producer, producer, director and host of Spin Cycle. 

Finally, in the world of exercise, coaching and Life empowerment, as a student of eastern philosophy and martial arts, Michael became approved for certification of Psychocalesthentics in 1991, an esoteric style of eastern exercise that incorporates yoga-style breathing with calisthenics. From 1992 to 1997 he studied under Master Ken Lo in Wu Mei Pei Kung Fu learning Chi Gung and traditional forms of the healing and martial arts. Drawing upon his professional theatrical and dance training while combining yoga, Chi Gung exercises  he created his own simple series of mind-body-spirit exercises called AEROFORM for HEALTH FITNESS and LONGEVITY. 

AEROFORM, which Michael credits with his ability to sustain a ridiculously rigorous performance schedule over 20 years, was developed into a 6 minute short form, a unique, one of the only exercises of its kind - Seated Form, and a 20-minute continuous complete routine.  The beauty of AEROFORM  is that it energizes and invigorates the whole person without depleting your resources.  AEROFORM was taught in NYC health clubs at Equinox, NYHRC and Chelsea Piers. Later, it was exclusively taught privately and in workshops to students throughout NYC.  Michael  has completed the book of AEROFORM exercises and is readying it for publication. This fall of 2010, Michael plans to have the Aeroform and Aerozone videos be available to the public.
